iCare Vice President & General Counsel Liz Bartlett was featured in an article by Vanguard magazine, a digital publication that shares the legal philosophies of corporate counsel and managing partners based in the U.S., the U.K., Canada, Mexico and Brazil.
Written by Mary Raitt Jordan and produced by Zachary Brann and Anders Nielsen, this case-study-style article details iCare's history since its inception in the mid-1990's when it offered a single health plan, to the addition of new lines of business, and through the recent transaction making iCare a wholly-owned subsidiary of Humana.
It also includes Liz's background and role. As a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School with 22 years in the healthcare industry, Liz was well prepared when she joined iCare in 2009. Liz is a a crucial member of the iCare leadership team, overseeing functions including network development, member advocacy and execution of provider/administrative contracts. She also serves as a trusted business partner for associates across the organization. She offers leadership and risk management expertise that has helped iCare successfully navigate the complexities associated with growing a very complex, highly-regulated business.

Kirk Heminger - iCare Director of Marketing
Kirk directs marketing and community partnerships for iCare. He joined iCare in April of 2017. In addition to over 14 years of insurance experience, he also has experience leading marketing and lead generation in the technology industry and began his career as a copywriter for an advertising and graphic design agency. He has a Journalism degree from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. His current responsibilities include leading a talented team of individuals to implement branding, advertising, lead generation, communications, public relations, events, sponsorships and digital strategy.
