Over-the-Counter (OTC) Benefit
$120/Month for Over-the-Counter (OTC) Items

New amount for 2020: As an iCare Medicare Plan member, you will receive $120 worth of OTC medications and supplies delivered to your home, free of charge, each month. That’s $1,440 a year to use towards your OTC needs!

More ways to buy for 2020: You can still purchase approved OTC item through your OTC catalog, and in 2020 you can also buy OTC items at  participating retailers like Walgreens, Walmart, CVS and many more. Learn more about the new OTC Benefit Card

A new $120 allowance will be issued to you each month. Unused portions of the monthly dollar amount will be carried over into the following month, until the end of the current year. Dollar amounts expire at the end of each calendar year OR if you disenroll before the end of the year.

SilverSneakers® Fitness


SilverSneakers is a fitness benefit that includes access to 15,000+ fitness locations* nationwide, exercise equipment and other amenities, group exercise classes led by certified instructors, a support network and online resources. Signature SilverSneakers classes designed for all levels and abilities are offered in traditional fitness classrooms.

More than 70 SilverSneakers FLEX® class options including Latin dance, yoga, tai chi and walking groups are offered in settings outside the traditional gym. Eligible plan members simply show their personal SilverSneakers ID number at the front desk of any participating location to use the benefit. Members may get their SilverSneakers ID number and find locations and classes at

*At-home kits are offered for members who want to start working out at home or for those who can’t get to a fitness location due to injury, illness or being homebound.

WW® (Weight Watchers®)

iCare offers Weight Watchers (WW)WW delivers a holistic and personal approach to losing weight.

As an iCare Medicare Plan Member, you can request meeting voucher packs for local WW meetings from your Care Coordinator. These packs will contain thirteen-weeks’ worth of meeting vouchers at a local, on-site WW location.

You can request new voucher packs near the end of each thirteen-week period if you would like to continue to use WW. Please call your Care Coordinator 1-800-777-4376 (TTY: 1-800-947-3529) to request new voucher packs.

Added Dental Benefits


iCare partners with dental network DentaQuest to provide you with an extra $2,500 a calendar year for preventive and comprehensive dental services.  As an iCare Medicare Plan member, when you use a DentaQuest provider, you can enjoy these added benefits: 

  • Oral Exams and Cleaning: Up to 2 per calendar year
  • Dental X-Rays: Up to 1 per calendar year
  • X-Rays are limited to either 1 panoramic or 1 full set per calendar year
  • Emergency Office Visits & Diagnostic Services: Up to 2 per calendar year
  • Simple Restorative Services
  • Limited to Amalgams/Resins (No root canals or crowns): One restoration per tooth per calendar year
  • Simple Extractions (No Surgical Extractions)
  • Basic Partials and Basic Dentures are covered, no coverage for repair

These services are in addition to the standard dental benefits provided by Medicaid and Medicare. Added Vision Benefits


iCare partners with National Vision Administrators (NVA) to provide you with an extra $450 per calendar year towards vision hardware (eyeglass lenses & frames). NEW IN 2020: contact fitting and contact lenses.

As an iCare Medicare Plan Member, when you use an in-network NVA provider, you receive up to $450 a calendar year towards (1) set of contact lenses and/or eyeglass lenses and frames.

This benefit cannot be combined with your Medicaid benefit, cover the cost of non-medical, routine eye exams. Medical optometry services are covered through NVA.

Meals Benefit


If you are transitioning from an inpatient hospital or skilled nursing facility, you are eligible for up to 28 days of meals (maximum 84 meals provided).

Personal Emergency Response System (PERS)


Feel more secure at home with access to help 24/7.

Your PERS automatically places a call for help if it detects a fall and you can’t push your help button.

If a fall is detected, it’s designed to get you 24/7 access to help even if you are disoriented, immobilized or unconscious. Prior authorization is required to take advantage of this benefit.

24/7 Nurse Advice Line


Staying healthy starts by asking questions and getting up-todate information. When you need answers the iCare Nurse Advice Line will be there for you 24 hours-a-day/7 days a week.

The Nurse Advice Line can give you peace of mind and help when you:

  • Wonder whether you need to make an appointment
  • Need information about medications, medical tests, or procedures
  • Want to find ways to talk more effectively with your healthcare provider
  • Want to learn how to take care of a new or chronic condition
  • Have questions about how you or your family can stay healthy

The Nurse Advice Line service also provides an Audio Health Library that gives you access to hundreds of prerecorded messages on health care topics ranging from the common cold to heart disease. Each message is about three to five minutes long. 

Chiropractic Care and Acupuncture
Chiropractic Care

You pay nothing for routine chiropractic services (limited to 40 visits every calendar year). Routine Chiropractic services may require a prior authorization.

Radiology tests performed by a State licensed Chiropractor following practice guidelines must obtain a primary care provider order. These services would require prior authorization.

Health Education with Transportation


The iCare Health Education with Transportation benefit provides members with the ability to attend health education sessions to reinforce healthy behaviors, which leads to better outcomes.

The Plan will pay registration fees for selected courses.

Additionally, transportation is provided to and from health education sessions for up to 36 one-way trips annually, up to 35 miles. Prior authorization is required.

Non-Emergency Transportation


100 one-way trips up to 35 miles. Covered only for travel to and from health education classes and Weight Watchers meetings. Prior authorization is required.

Readmission Prevention


This program helps people transition back to their own home following a hospital or nursing home stay. Members may receive the following immediately after discharge.

  • Medication Reconciliation
  • In-Home Safety Assessment
  • Information and training on self-care while recovering at home
