CLAS Standards:

Independent Care Health Plan has adopted all National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS). The National CLAS Standards are intended to advance health equity, improve quality and help eliminate health care disparities by establishing a blueprint for individuals and health care organizations to follow.

If you need any documents translated or read over the phone (sight translation) in your preferred language, please call Customer Care at 1-800-777-4376 (TTY: 711) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Central time).  Fulfillment materials and timeframes are as follows: Large Print - 2 weeks / Braille and Foreign Language - varies by request.

"I Speak" Printable Resources

"I Speak..." resources are available for those who speak a language other than English. They can be used at appointments to share your preferred language and that you would like interpreter services. Can't find your language below? Print out a "fill in the blank" version and write your language in the space provided! Each pdf prints on one side of a sheet of paper measuring 8.5" x 11." Fold it to fit in your wallet or purse and take it with you to communicate your needs.
